We have a fun February tradition in our house each year. All that's required is a snow day and some treats - and a nice pot of tea to warm cold hands. We got the idea many years ago from my favorite journalist & homey philosopher Sarah Ban Breathnach of Simple Abundance. The idea is to create your own Valentines to give out to friends and loved ones while sipping tea. We decided to use chocolate chips & cake batter instead of paper & ribbons - and we made cupcakes instead.
This year we are going to make a traditional Victorian heart mail drop box during our Cupid's Tea. Follow us on instagram to see what comes of it (and how quickly it becomes very UnVictorian with a bunch of modern 11 year olds). And be sure to share your own Cupid's Tea ideas and photos with us using #LuminaTraditions. We'd love to see what Cupid's arrow inspires in your own family.
